Statement of Faith

We Believe:

• in the Bible as the inspired Word of God, without error and with all authority. (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21, Hebrews 4:12)

• in one God who exists eternally as three persons Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, John 17:5, 2 Corinthians 13:14)

• in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, born of the Holy Spirit by the virgin Mary, truly God and truly man. (John 1:1-4, 14; Matthew 1:20; Philippians 2:5-7)

• in the Holy Spirit who convicts of sin and who lives in every true believer, testifying to us of Christ, guiding us to truth, and giving us comfort. (John 16:8-15, John 14:26, Romans 8:11, Acts 9:31)

• in the Bible's declaration that all men and women since the fall of Adam are dead in sin and have no hope apart from the grace of God and the salvation He offers through faith in Jesus Christ, who was crucified and died in our place, the perfect sacrifice for sin. (Romans 3:23-24, Romans 5:8-11, Ephesians 2:1-9, Titus 3:3-7)

• in the resurrection of Jesus' body and in His ascension into heaven, where He sits by the right hand of the Father, praying for His followers and giving us access to mercy, grace, and compassionate help. (Acts 1:10-11, Hebrews 1:3, Hebrews 2:17-18, Hebrews 4:14-16, Hebrews 7:25)

• in the Church, the group of all true believers in Jesus as Savior and Lord, who are baptized by the Holy Spirit and are called to live a life of holiness and to tell others the good news of the saving power of God. (Ephesians 1:22-23, Colossians 1:18-22, 1 Peter 2:9, 1 Corinthians 12:12-13, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4)

• in the promise of God that those who have trusted in Jesus as Savior and Lord will not die but will live with Him forever in heaven. (Luke 23:43, 2 Corinthians 5:1-8, John 3:16)
